I made it to the final table on one- no great achievement, really this isnt WSOP- it's more like Gilligan's Tropical Rec Room- where a kid- I mean a real kid, like 16, bet everything for the win. There were 2 or 3 tournaments each day for different level pots. The dealers- mostly Russian?- were explaining the moves as we all went along. The players I saw were all novices, drinking heavily and new to the game anyway. I learned a lot about BJ tourney play on the small number of cruises I've been on.Ĭruise lines love the format because they don't have to cover all the HRs who might bet wildly in their anemic casinos.
